[one-users] Publish Services

Respected Sir/Madam,
     As part of my undergraduate thesis i work i have to work on Service
Composition in a cloud. I have been puzzled by this doubts for quite some
time.
     How do cloud service providers publish their services ?
     Earlier UDDI was used but my mentor says that UDDI concept has failed.
I am a newbie so, any information worth mentioning will be useful.
