Hi,

Without the E1000 model, does the VM boot? If so, does it recognise
the NIC if you install the vmware tools?

This may be of help:
http://kb.vmware.com/selfservice/microsites/search.do?language=en_US&cmd=displayKC&externalId=1001805

I suggest approaching the problem by creating a Windows VM in VMware
that recognises the NIC, and afterwards creating the same VM through
OpenNebula.

Regards,

-Tino

Hi Eduardo.

That's the problem. The images datastore for VMware _must_ have a
'vmfs' DS drivers (as well as a BRIDGE_LIST). This explains why the
.vmdk is getting renamed (as the 'fs' ds drivers don't know howto
perform this renaming.

Tino,

When I try to use a "vmfs" volume for image repository, It not works.

I follow the instructions on the documentation, but ONE can't get the
size of the volume.

When I try to upload an image to this datastore, I receive the message
"not enough space"

Mon Dec 9 17:43:59 2013 [ReM][E]: Req:192 UID:0 ImageAllocate result
FAILURE Not enough space in datastore

You should have a SCHED_MESSAGE in the VM template with the reason. The
scheduler log file /var/log/one/sched.log will also have more useful
information.

That's a configuration attribute set by OpenNebula, you don't need to
change it.
