Hi all,

I am very interested in setting up a virtualized infraestructura that
provides HA to my

Installed VMs. As read, OpenNebula does provide it but I have some technical
questions

Regarding its functioning:

I would like to better understand the HA model behind the scenes on
OpenNebula. I mean,

In Citrix or vmware you have a manger node where you configure HA, but the
real nodes

Managing it are the physical hosts (hypervisors). This is great because it
avoids a single

Point of failure you can find in other packages where the manager node is
responsible for

Monitoring and managing HA capabilities. Also, you avoid to devoting
duplicated resources to

Maintain two management servers up and running in active/passive state.

I have found this a shortcome for some configurations

And would like to know the mechanisms under OpenNebula. I have read it uses
a persistent

Database so I understand it will be located on an external storage that can
be replicated and so on,

But I am not sure if I will need to run two instances of the management
server in order to

Have HA HA J.

¿Any clues on this?

Thanks in advance,

Jose.
