New machine, I get kvm, but not kvm_intel.

On the old machine, I got both. Hmm...

Ok, so the box knows what kvm_intel is...a "modprobe kvm_intel"
yields:
FATAL: Error inserting kvm_intel
(/lib/modules/2.6.38-7.2.0.2-amd64-8993020/kernel/arch/x86/kvm/kvm-intel.ko):
Operation not supported

Just not sure what to do about that operation not supported...

It appears that for some reason the virtualization stuff might be
disabled in bios...I'll be checking that out.

Thanks!
They were both installed using identical methods (a bit of a

the only
in fact, an architecture check from a kernel standpoint
However, the capabilities in virsh are very different. The
new machine
has i686 instead of x86_64,and it is missing the guest KVM
domain type.

Old capabilities: <a moz-do-not-send="true"
Two questions:

First, any idea why it might've come down differently.

Second, can it be fixed? Can I try just copying the
capabilities from
old to new? Or something equally straightforward?
