Dear Rangababu, Suresh,

You are right, OpenNebula shouldn't schedule to hosts in Error state. A ticket has been opened to address this issue

http://redmine.opennebula.org/issues/136
Hi Tino,
We are having to disable the host that is in ERR state because if we don't, one is trying to deploy new VM's on it and failing. Later when the host is back up we are again adding it to one as new one.

There is another post that Suresh sent to the userlist trying to find why one tries to deploy VM to a host that is in ERR state.

Shouldn't one not try to deploy VM on that host?

Hi Suresh,

Disabling hosts that are down means that OpenNebula won't poll them to know if they are up again, that's why you need to manually disable them. Could you please tell why you need such functionality? If we see it fit, we may be able to provide a procedure to disable them dinamically.
