Hi,
I need to monitor datastores on ESXi 5.0. Problem is that as a oneadmin user i'm not allowed to run even 'df' command. I've tried to set the set-groupid bit for 'df' (chmod +s /sbin/df), but it does not work. I'm still getting: "Error during version check: Failed to get vmkernel version: Operation not permitted (running as non-root?)". The only workaround is to set ssh config for oneadmin user to log into ESXi as a root.

Tino mentioned here: https://www.mail-archive.com/users@lists.opennebula.org/msg13374.html, that it is possible to run the 'df' under non-root. My question is how to do that? Am I missing some hidden configuration option?

Regards,

Ondra
