[one-users] VMFS datastore image creation issue

Tino --

  Thanks for helping identify the issues within my environment. I have now fully deployed a Windows host from a .vmdk file, due to the following changes

Updated all drivers back to VMFS for datastores 0 and 1
Noticed the libvirt binaries were pointed at incorrect versions
There were issues with the uploaded VMDK files, and cloning a working one resolved the VMDK correctly

Big help!! Much appreciated!!

Hi Michael,

It seems like you are still using the non SSH mode. After the onedatastore update, the TM_USE_SSH and DS_USE_SSH should appear here in the "onedatastore show"

--
DATASTORE TEMPLATE
BRIDGE_LIST="192.168.250.34 192.168.250.38"
DS_MAD="vmware"
TM_MAD="ssh"
TYPE="IMAGE_DS"
--

About the error:

--
ERROR: clone: Command "vmkfstools --server 192.168.250.34 --username oneadmin --password XXXXXXX -i [1]ed35a2c49a51aede33ef6cd685ac370a/disk.vmdk -d thin [0]6/disk.0/disk.vmdk" failed: Unable to clone virtual disk : File [1] ed35a2c49a51aede33ef6cd685ac370a/disk.vmdk was not found
--

That implies that at host 192.168.250.34, there is no file /vmfs/volumes/1/ed35a2c49a51aede33ef6cd685ac370a/disk.vmdk (which should have been create after the "oneimage create"). Could you check if that file exists at 192.168.250.34.

Regards,

-Tino
