That's right, you cannot use free license ESXi with OpenNebula.

Changing the prefix of the port group name is not supported but if you
really need to change it we can tell you the places to modify it. This
will require recompiling the software.

Check the steps to configure the datastores in the ESX node [1]. Looks
like a configuration problem.
