We build our own packages. Our repo can be found here:
http://obit.bit.nl/ubuntu/

To add the OBIT key to the APT key ring, use:
    wget -qO- http://obit.bit.nl/ubuntu/obit.asc | apt-key add -

To add a repository to APT, use:
    deb http://obit.bit.nl/ubuntu/<lsb_release>/<pkg_name>/ ./

We've got 4.4.0 packages for Ubuntu 13.10. If you need them for another
Ubuntu version just let me know, and I'll build them.
