[one-users] where do folks typically define ONE_LOCATION?

On Centos/RHEL I would presume one would set it in /etc/sysconfig/one.  
Otherwise 'oned' wouldn't pick it up on startup. Other place could be  
/etc/profile.d or decidedly worse, ~oneadmin/.profile. Where do the other  
Linux flavors tend to recommend setting this value?

If installing from a source-code build, I expect there's a directive to  
set the value so 'make install' puts things in the desired places.

Or does the larger ONE community simply not care how it gets set, just  
that it is at evaluation time?
