[one-users] Hosts installation procedure

(sorry, newbie question)

Hi all,
should I follow this procedure for both front-end and hosts?

Since I'm using fedora 16, I need to start from source code and It is 
not clear to me what it is the exact procedure for hosts.

Moreover, following the guide, it seems to me that the first step where 
hosts are involved are in User & Group (Unix Accounts) (Front-End & Hosts).
