[one-users] attach/detach disks

Hello, 
I just started trying out attaching & detaching disks to running vm's. I am able both attach and detach volatile disks. If I create an image in my datastore and attach it, all is fine. When I try to detach it, I get an error: 
VirtualMachineDetach result FAILURE [VirtualMachineDetach] Could not detach disk with DISK_ID 2, it does not exist. 

Then I end up with a dangling symlink on the host and future attaches fail. 

Any ideas what may be wrong?
