Hi Gary,
So, as it turns out, I already had that all set as you describe below.
I changed:
dynamic_ownership=0
to
dynamic_ownership=1
and this allowed me to run the kvm locally as oneadmin in virt-manager.
It's essentially just chown-ing the disk for me automatically now.
hopefully this will help others seeing this behavior.
