trying to run virt-manager on the FE, I get the following:
Error starting domain: internal error process exited while connecting to
monitor: qemu: could not open disk image /dev/onevg/bubble_data_001:
Permission denied
if I:
# chown oneadmin:oneadmin /dev/onevg/bubble_data_001
it works, but reverts immediately after shutdown.
I have oneadmin in the disk group
# egrep 'oneadmin|libvirt|kvm|qemu' /etc/{passwd,group}
/etc/passwd:libvirt-qemu:x:114:123:Libvirt
Qemu,,,:/var/lib/libvirt:/bin/false
/etc/passwd:oneadmin:x:1000:1000::/var/lib/one:/bin/bash
/etc/group:adm:x:4:oneadmin
/etc/group:disk:x:6:oneadmin,libvirt-qemu
/etc/group:sudo:x:27:oneadmin
/etc/group:kvm:x:123:oneadmin
/etc/group:libvirt:x:124:oneadmin,libvirt-qemu
/etc/group:oneadmin:x:1000:
perms on my disks are:
# ls -la /dev/dm-*
brw-rw---- 1 root disk 254, 0 Aug 28 15:54 /dev/dm-0
brw-rw---- 1 root disk 254, 1 Aug 28 15:54 /dev/dm-1
brw-rw---- 1 root disk 254, 2 Aug 28 15:54 /dev/dm-2
brw-rw---- 1 root disk 254, 3 Aug 28 15:54 /dev/dm-3
brw-rw---- 1 root disk 254, 4 Aug 28 15:55 /dev/dm-4
brw-rw---- 1 root disk 254, 5 Aug 28 15:54 /dev/dm-5
Any thoughts on this problem?
Thanks,
-C
