Hi Tino,
I haven't done the install of the support libraries myself, but I have been told that it was done according to the instructions you mention. Not sure whether the instructions weren't followed correctly or if something changed which make them no longer work. Anyway, Andrea's approach worked. Thanks again to all of you.

install all the dependencies using CentOS Karan Repo.
