[one-users] [Question] What's the purpose of Shutdown operation?

When I shutdown a VM in Sunstone, the state of that machine is shutdown.
What's the purpose of this operation? I mean when a VM is shutdown, user
can do nothing to that VM ,except delete, saveas or resubmit that machine.
I cannot boot that VM again. It seems a shutdown VM is useless.
